They're filthy because they represent hatred, THR. You know as well as I do that they are being worn by a certain political group in order to make a political statement about how much they hate Israel. The hatred of the Left is like oozing diarrhea.

Anyway, where is it that you've seen so many of these filthy items of clothing? I never saw more than a handful while living in western Sydney, and I'm sure you don't see them at Hillsong. Are you sure you aren't suffering paranoid deslusions?

Let's face it - back in the days before your loathed 'PC' allegedly took over, you and your sort were able to (and did) publicly villify any racial or religious group you liked.
Those days have thankfully long gone, but courtesy of a rabid clique of neocons getting media time, and Bush's phony war on terror, Muslims have become the new target. All of your fears, hatreds and old prejudices are conveniently displaced onto them.
Don't believe me? Try hearing how repulsive it sounds to speak of a 'filthy' kippah, or mitre, or bible, or turban, or set of saffron robes.
Damien, I'm seeing them every day. This morning, I saw a trite, pursed lips Leftist get on my public transport in an inner city suburb with her trendy keffiyeh draped around her neck. It matched her oh-so-understated latte leftist outfit perfectly.
Saw one yesterday. They're coming thicker and faster since I first spotted one in one of those post-hippy market days in Glebe. And it's always the same types who wear them. I can spot the most extremist of the Left from a city block away. Basically they might as well be wearing a T-shirt that says 'I hate Israel'.

The blind allegiance to America/Israel reflects modern christian dogma. These 'christians' ignore the true meaning of the bible and have created their own evangelistic faith. It consists of ultra conservative views and bigotry against other religions and races, especially arabs and islam.
This new faith is blatantly selfish. There is no room to help the poor, promote peace or acceptance. It is about self improvement and enforcing white American conservative traditions. Aurora is the poster girl.
Ignoring the atrocities of Israel while hammering Palestinians shows how far they will go to push their beliefs. It's just fact that Israel are occupying Palestinian territory and in breach of UN resolution 242. They have nuclear weapons and have never let them be inspected ever. They are responsible for hundreds of breaches of international law and would be one of the top violators of human rights on this planet. It doesn't excuse Palestine for hundreds of terrorists acts but Israel have more to answer for and so do America for protecting them from scrutiny.
Only a person with irrational beliefs would defend America/Israel blindly whilst blaming the Palestinians solely. Someone like those of the "new faith".
