Yeah, from Iran's point of view, both neighbours are occupied by a nuclear power, and Israel has made repeated threats, so I can see why nuclear weapons would be attractive to Iran. I can't Israel allowing any level playing field in the near-future.

For years? At the start of this year, there was plenty of discussion and protest from the left in response to the IDF murdering 1,000 or so Palestinians. The lefty sites I read have continued to follow the issue throughout the year (in relation to Obama's Cairo speech, for instance). Would you like some links to start you off?
