It is sad that the USSR's meddlings led to surging rage against "BOTH" the USSR and America around the world. We were both seen as hegemonic, imperial empire exploiters, capitalists (and against proletariat), corporate, globalization, free trade, big business, market, noisy interferers etc. in the eyes of many around the world. Somehow, many of these conflicting descriptions became conflated in the minds of many. The USSR and the US became conflated in the minds of many.
One example of this type of thinking was Indira Gandhi, who created RAW in the late 1960s and told them to make an alliance with Israel against the eastern block she so distrusted. Even when she made her Kissingeresque “alliance” with the USSR in 1971 against communist China (which Indians in general strongly disliked), she secretly despised the communists and ordered RAW to work with Israeli, Western and other non-communist intelligence services against the Soviets.
She was a deep admirer of Israel, and formed a secret relationship with them. She ordered an "Israeli style blitzkrieg" to liberate Bangladesh in 1971. She represented a huge phenomenon around the world . . . pro-Israeli, anti-Communist, anti-Americanism (president Ky and many other South Vietnamese were partly of this mold.) Many people around the world are still defined by pro-Israeli anti-Americanism.
However, in the west (Christian world? and communists?), there remains a deep suspicion of Jews . . . that is very hard for non Christians and non-muslims to understand. I am frequently asked the question: “why do people hate Jews so much.”

Casting aside various biblical reasons.
The Jewish culture is that of a merchant
class. When a son reaches adulthood and has his bar mitzvah the jewish community all digs deep and donates what is basically "start up capital" for the sons business.
In a Christian Agrarian culture...the fathers land was divided among the sons. Unfortunately, as time progressed the farms got smaller and smaller to the point that land was no longer sufficient capital to feed ones family, never mind prosper.
Which brought us to the industrial age..in which the sons of the Christian Agrarian culture ended up working in factories owned by the sons of the Jewish Merchant culture.
Clearly a resentment easily exploited.
My grandfather grew up on a farm with 18 brothers and sisters...he ended up working in a factory owned by rich jews. My father and uncles ended up working in a factory owned by rich jews.
I learned computers and now charge rich jews exhorbitant fees for my services, one of my brother-in-laws became a plumber...and he charges rich
jews exorbitant fees for his services.
The balance has been restored...in my tiny little family view...the grandsons acquired skills that the merchant class has no choice but to pay for.
Having a specialized skill is more valuable then having financial capital.
