Gravatar Congrats on your foray into Twitter. I think its a great medium for individuals and companies that already understand microblogging's capabilities and, more importantly, its limitations.

The problem arises when, like you said, Twittees abuse the medium and use it incorrectly. The correct way to update readers would have been to add new information to the original article (or blog entry) as it becomes available. One convenient place that people can "congregate" and refresh at their own pace. Tweet overload is a common ailment for many lately.

Again, I don't want to knock anyone for going out on a limb and trying something new, but I cringe whenever its done wrong.


Gravatar And that's one of the great things about Twitter, ease of use. If you feel someone is abusing the technology or doing it "wrong", you can just unsubscribe and tune them out. 100% permission based marketing.
