Daisuke and Family! I know that I have not written in a while, but I just wanted to tell you how excited that Kathy and I are to come to Hamadera in the Spring next semester. We have been meeting every Sunday after church with Andrew and the team adn it has been really encouraging and insightful. I have thought about you guys every week for a while now and hope that you are enjoying God's rest as you work so much in the ministry over there.
I must admit, having you back to Valley a little while ago really stirred in our church and in my own heart towards missions and Hamadera in particular. Kathy and I are trying to find a church in Mexico to link up with so that we can have a work there to relate to. Things are opening up so much because we know so many godly examples through the college and seminary (Masters). Pray for us in this, that we might finally find a church that we could reach out to fully and frequently.
You must be exhausted with the amount of family responsibilities and ministry and travel and translation etc. that God has entrusted to you, but just know that I am deeply encouraged to hear of the things that you are doing. It always ministers to me to see that you are going to meet with other members of TMAI or translating for preachers from the states that I hear and look up to so much or doing the expository preaching classes. That is just music to my renewed soul.
Thank you for your committment and devotion to Christ's work in the church. Allow me to remind you of the comfort from 1 Corinthians 15:58 and point out that "your work is not in vain."
Looking forward to seeing you around the year's corner in March!
