I believe he represents Champaign-Urbana. If it is the same Tim Johnson, he was an alderman when I was going to school there.

Kirk, Mark Steven (IL)
Just after 9/11 I remember hearing Kirk on WLS radio. I actually was inspired to call in and ask the call screener "Who is that blow-hole you've got on the air right now?"

He was quick to through the security screeners under the bus for 9/11... even though small knives like box cutters were not what they were instructed to look for.

It would be interesting to know his thoughts on the TSA now that the same bunch of folks are now screening passengers with a fancy new uniform.
