Gravatar HA! Yes, I hit this exact same point with my book and titled it "Mount Freakout." You can come down now. You'll do a wonderful job. This is the book you've been meant to publish forever, and it's about damn time.

Gravatar Buck up, kiddo.

I thought about popping in here and over-playing the same lines about "Yes, it and you will be great" and "There's nothing to freak out about" but I decided against that. I'm just going to say that, regardless, you've got a dedicated reader here. You managed to suck me in way back when by having scarleteen out there in the world. I was drawn to the way you write about sexuality because you do so without the bullshit that seems to be floating around everywhere. You were willing to present the information--ALL of it--without backing down because what you were saying was unpopular or "immoral" or simply wasn't what people wanted to hear. And, in this arena especially, I think that voice needs be heard. So, regardless of how everything turns out, you can count on the fact that I'll be buying a copy, and I'll be reading it, if only because I know that I'll get a healthy dose of fact and information completely sans bullshit.

Gravatar heather,

I / we love you! -- edited, as this is SO not appropriate for anyone to call me, especially a man I don't even know, even if it's intended in jest -- thank you so much for your courage and honesty...if your fears consume 110% of you, we / I want to provide the extra 10% that defeats the fear of conventional wisdom, conventional thought, conventional what the fuck, you are on to something that can help a generation... you have my 10% (cause i'm a chicken shit), and a collective 10% more (that's like a million %), get that fucking book done! period.

Gravatar Dude, Heather. I hear what you're saying, but from what I've read, the book kicks ass, and YOU kick ass, so...kick ass! Much hugs and love from this direction.

Gravatar Here's the question - what would you do if indeed you had such a zit on the eve of the most important date in your life? Why don't you try doing the same with this metaphysical or metaphorical zit of yours.

Gravatar Oh, good answer, Zelig!

That was insanely helpful: you just totally flipped my brain. Bless.

Gravatar When it comes to the fears that the book is flawed as a whole, well that's too silly to respond to.

In regard to fears that something crucial has been left out, that's more realistic, but I have two words for you: second edition.

This book will succeed. It will transform people's lives. And if there is something you've left out that should have been in there, people will tell you, and you'll add it next time.

You can't include every single thing that's needed in the perfect book, it would end up being like something out of Borgias, but if there is something important, someone will pick it up (hopefully before you get to the international edition).
