A general comment about the blog:
I found the goldmine that this blog is today, so I'm very happy for all the obscure forgotten dub/reggae vinyls. Even thogh many of the old download links are dead, I'll still have plenty for a long time!

Echo, echo...
Keep up the good work. You're stars in a drab universe.

Great quote. What was she thinking. Good review on AMG. "It's a telling moment. Jamaica had thrived on taking American sounds and making them their own. Velez was the first to show that it would inevitably always be a one-way street." Valuable share, thanks.

hey, that was a bit harsh! i grew up listening to that album and i actually loved it. so much that i just had a moment and came looking for info on it only to find your bashing. thank goodness we're all entitled to our opinions and personally she gets props from me!!!

of course, bottompen, thank heavens. but i think marley and co. did a take 'the money and run'- job on this one. that's what i meant. the quote that schrikdraad used, gave me the feeling that poor martha was conned, dreadlock holiday-style. at least your kind words about it made me listen to it again.

Got this out of the bargain bin in the late 70's, and for some reason, the guitar solo on "come on in" still stays with me. I was hoping to find it on line in CD format. Oh well.
