We all await this deluge!
You have successfully managed to avoid the banality of rambling against the inherent iniquities of the world, by ending on a soft, romantic note, thus acknowledging the superiority of the poetic stance over cyclical, vituperative excoriation. Indeed, perhaps that's the surest, most effective way of the aspiring individualist.

"White streams of love"? That doesn't seem very hygienic.
That's not so subtle, ipchuk.

Indeed it's not, but hey, as long as 'white streams' is not substituted by a ruder word, I still have the right to extract a more poetic meaning from it, in order to express that which I have on my mind - the most important thing in this case.

I hear you, Ben.
ipchuk,
If poetry is only beautiful words, remember that beautiful words are not usually true. Moreover, writing poetry does not make one a poet. But you are perfectly free to express yourself. I encourage you to express yourself even more.

I hear you, Dude.
Of course you are right: beautiful words have questionable origins.
I simply took fondness to Ben's tone in that post. In essence, he is railing against the harsh reality of the world and the emptiness and impotence of most people's established notions of heroism. Yet, he is not spitting fire: his is a tone of melancholy regret, resounding gently with genuine, heartfelt disillusionment. He doesn't blame anyone: he knows that would be to no avail. Ultimately, he artfully undermines what he rails against, rather than naively scourging it, and that's where the poetic aspect of it all kicks in. It is the tone adopted here, which bodes quite well with the substance behind that tone - a vital element, intrinsic to any sort of poetry.
Poor man! We, vain critics, have probably already distorted his truth beyond recognition. My sincere apologies to our host here, if I am to be found guilty of this!

I can see that much, there's no need for an explanation.
But what I found curious in your comment was the opposition: "cyclical, vituperative excoriation": words that sound quite familiar to me...
If you wish to consider my mad methods inferior to this poetics of stoical bathos, you are obviously free to do so, but have the decency to report it directly to me, not in opposition to someone else.
