It's just lies upon lies upon lies.
Now it's that the administration was "standing up to" and fighting back against a CIA giving them false information. That's a lie about a lie, about a lie.
What's interesting to me is that this is a different talking point from the "She wasn't undercover!" talking point that's going to get them into serious fucking trouble later on.
Yeah, but the truth is the truth. They weren't "fighting back against the CIA." They were the ones who decided on the idea in the first place.
It's the "how dare you hit my fist with your face" defense. It won't fly.
