You're on the right track but I don't think you've really got this fleshed out right-- this is an unfinished strategy. It's simply not enough to oppose the upcoming Iran war by making arguments for caution. Joe Sixpack Dumbass won't differentiate. We need more visceral strategies that resonate. And consider the reasons for the Iran intervention-- Neocon PNAC plans, Dominionist Crazy Christian Armageddowhacko plans, oil, and most importantly further U.S. power grabs towards dictatorship. This makes the task to oppose tougher to formulate. Yes, the old hide your head in the sand strategy won't work, but we don't reclaim the top ground on national security simply by saying no to the Iran intervention. We need a more viscerally powerful concept to drive home that requires little thought from the reciever, the public, but instant understanding on Iran & national security. I don't know what that is, but we need to figure it out... fast. The Iran plan's in place, and imminent. Meanwhile, our Dem leaders are clueless. Thank god for the bloggers. Something like Safety/Security Starts At Home, but the problem is, bottom line, Americans like to feel they are kicking ass & ask questions later. How do we appeal to a higher level of consciousness & survival instinct that even Joe Dumbass can get without thinking nor blinking?
