My theory on this is that this is pretty much how all privileged folk handle their crises. I'm not so sure I want to pin this behavior on the administration, and I worry that liberals are going to discredit themselves by insisting so. My politics have shifted from hard right to slightly left center(youch)so I am concerned with the liberal response.
