Gravatar I've always been supportive of our troops over in Iraq (I'm English not American) and despite growing concern over the consequences of our intervention, I still feel was our duty to help bring down despotic leaders such as Saddam.

Though these images you have posted do tear at the heart, I still think our boys are doing an essential job over in the MiddleEast.

I only hope that what you've uncovered is propaganda and not fact because if it is true, that is that US soldiers are executing children, women and other innocent civilians, then I'm with you 100% of the way with respect to supporting you.

Although war is abhorrant, sometimes there seems to be no alternative and then innocent lives are lost. This has always been the case and always will be.

You just have to look back throughout history to see these patterns happening time and time again. Unfortunately humans have the capacity for revenge (which these killings seem to come under the heading of) which I believe is a genetic safety mechanism that was useful in societies long dead now, simply to ensure personal survival. Though with todays knowlege of food production, health issues and a plentiful supply of virtually everything that we need to comfortably survive for everyone on this planet, there really is no need for this gut reaction any more.

I will be sending a link of these images to all my friend who have shown interest in the conflict, most of which are ex marines whome I met online while playing war games. And all of which i know support the soldiers overseas. This may put a strain on my friendships, but you have highlighted something that I was only too happy to pretend wasn't happening.
