Great point. I had the same reaction. When I read a lot of comments praising Rhodes, I was thinking, "yes, but how could she let that garbage go by?"

I think it's because the left is so used to the "the loss is your fault because you hurt troop morale" that Randi just brushed it aside as more of the same "blame the protesters" without realizing the qualitative difference between blaming the left for the current conditions and blaming the left for the initial conditions. It didn't stand out to me either until I read it a second time, so Randi probably just ignored it in the heat of the moment when she was calling out the chickenhawk.

When debating with neocons on "neutral" messageboards like AOLs, this strategy of stupidity is hard to counter but now with the Wile E. Coyote analysis - blame for the results not the initial actions is a great counter. I think I will be quoting you directly since that mind game is so stupid it is effective in shutting people up who are reality based and only have logic on their side.
