Man, these slides make me teary eyed for the days past. They were good times with great people and all too soon it passed and they passed and the memories are what keep you going sometimes.

To all you young mothers, a word of advice from The Noni:

Cherish every single moment you have with your young ones. Don't wish their lives away, it will pass a lot faster than you think and before you know it (in a blink of an eye) they are grown and on their own. That doesn't mean that the great times end, it just means that their dependence on you is over (if you've done a good job of teaching them to be independent and able to be on their own) and your opportunities to be together are further apart.

I guess the most painful time of all is when they graduate and go away to college. That's the time when they want you "to step aside and let them do it themselves". That is probably the time they are the most self absorbed and mom and dad are important, but just not needed around so much.

Once they've graduated and are beginning life on their own and starting families, they become acutely aware again of the importance of family and time together.

Don't get me wrong, it's all wonderful and I wouldn't trade a single moment. Just remember, time is fleeting and when memories are what you have left of your parents and what they mean to you in your lives, the time you had with them becomes more and more precious to you.

Thank you so much, Alex, for what you're doing with the slides. It is fun and it is jarring memories that have been buried too long.
