As with all holidays, I try to put all hostilities, personal or otherwise, aside. If nothing else Mike, you certainly are patriotic. And I agree with you: it would be awesome to see the DC fireworks from where you stood.

I went down to the riverfront in Savannah and was about 500 feet away from where the fireworks were launched. Got a great view.

Some poor little girl was just screaming the whole time: "we're going to die..." fortunately the explosions were too loud to hear her wailing. I'm thinking another peace activist terror appeaser was born tonight...

Seems the story on taking ones property was way overblown in reference to powerline. I had to go to work today so hubby got the info for me. Only cause I worked today and he was at home board!
