It's a wonder anyone comes out of these re-education camps without being totally brainwashed.

This case highlights the necessity of ending tenure and establishing an education voucher system. Ensuring our public schools are held accountable for teaching our children, instead indoctrinating them

Oh Mike I am so glad you wrote about this. When I saw this on the news today I couldn't believe it. Well - yes I could.
Of course the counter-protest wasn't featured at ALL.
Those kids that walked out of that school in protest of this guy being suspended are STUPID! I was talking with Troll about it and we both commented that these kids haven't even been taught history. They have no idea what this teacher is comparing Bush to. Not to mention that the teacher was inaccurate in his interpretation of what Bush said in the State of the Union Address.
I shouldn't say stupid, should I? I should say ignorant. Those kids are ignorant.
Is KEvron a new whacko? Tut,tut, tut - your ignorance is showing Kev!

Kevron is a moonbat rash I must have picked up along the way.
Pretty clear he is the product of a public school education.

Mike,
You certainly attract the choicest moonbats to your blog.

if you are able to home school at all - home school your children from about kindergarten through second or third grade - these constitute the end of their so-called "formative years" - who your child will become will be seen in these last years. trust me - i've homeschooled my children early and they are the finest 13 1/2 and 14 1/2 year olds you're liable to come across.
it's worth the twenty or thirty or even forty thousand dollars a year in the job you'll give up teaching them the basics they'll take through their entire lives.
they're in public school now, but we are going to put them back into on-line homeschooling next year as they've asked that we do so and they are now old enough to do independent studies.
do not sell your children out to public schools!

Nanc: Episodes like this really do make homeschooling an attractive option.
Skye: The moonbats have been pretty low key lately. There's starting to come out of the woodwork though. I even had a Toadbat sighting today.
I wonder if they've all been to a Cindy Sheehan brainwashing convention somewhere.

Why does a government employee have a right to indoctrinate captive minors in any political theology left or right?School teachers are supposed to help prepare young people for the real world they will shortly face by teaching them to find information relevant to issues they have to make decisions on in their adult lives. As a libertarian I fully support anyones right to speak their mind in an appropriate forum(talk radio, blogs, perhaps a soapbox on any corner you like!)Classrooms in public schools are the wrong place because the students cannot;tune to something else, click off or walk away.Any of the above actions in a classroom would have a negative effect on the students grades. It is simply the wrong place for a one sided rant without equal time for other views of any flavor.

Mike,
Per your request, I have put the transcripts from the class up on my blog. I encourage those who appreciate satire to check it out:

Interesting little tidbit:
The public school classrooms are areas where instructors are protected by our first amendment rights when engaging in Anti-capitalist, Anti-US, Anti-Bush bashing, yet these rights vanish when instructors attempt to engage in religious discussions in the classroom.

But this Bennish creep WAS practicing his religion in the classroom. It's that old time religion of hate that Dems have come to love so much.
