Zarqawi was a commander in Al-Qaeda and had plenty of experience in his terrorist career. I'm not so sure that he'll be easily replaced.
I've taken a look at some biographical information on Zarqawi. Based on what I've learned about his childhood and his teen years, I think he sounds like a sociopath.

Oh Happy Day! The Jordanians hate Zarqawi. They have twice tried him in absentia and sentenced him to death. Yesterday they helped to bring him to justice. Death is the only answer for someone like him.

Well let's look at some of zarqawi's history....
.... he started out with Ansar al-Islam who were never players. Their big claim to fame was getting the diaper wetters all excited when it was discovered they were cooking up ricin. The media immediately convinced the diaper wetters that ricin is a "WMD" (LMFAO). I can remember a Bulgarian using it as an assassination tool against a soviet dissident so maybe that constitutes "mass" capability.
Then he goes on with a few kidnappings and televises the beheadings. Consistent with his position as the reputed head guy someone tells him to cut the crap, he's scaring the clientele and that's the last of the televised beheadings. Seems he isn't the head guy or anthing but a cheap thug?
Bush had chances to take him out before the invasion and turned them down. Maybe a good move since the guy represented no particular threat and he was good PR for scaring the diaper wetters. We will not be hearing about it the way we hear the thousands of stories about Clinton passing on bin Laden, however.
So someone finally dimes the guy out and President Low Polls has a press conference and the next day there are over 200 civilian casualties in Iraq. Same sorry news. Big wheel spins, little wheel turns and people die for no good reason.
Check the body for freezer burns. Look at the photo. Did it look like someone who just got hit by 500 pound fragmentation ordnance? Just food for thought. The Pentagon is issuing statements that the bombs didn't get him initially so even they must see the inconsistency. Really nothing much to see here.

He doesn't seem to know the signs of concussion from an explosion. Seeping blood from orifics.
Plus, I think a little repair was done in order to make him more photographable. I wonder if his eyes were bugged out. Probably. Just a hunch.
