-15, Lows Keep Getting LOWER!

Gravatar One of my former students is a chef who specializes in desserts. So I just couldn't resist sending her the link to the photo of the Lafayette cake.

Nice to see such a positive reaction from the prime minister of France. It's been a long time since we've had that comaraderie.

I also liked this statement: In my country there are thousands upon thousands of white crosses to remember those men who didn't know France, and yet who came to die on French soil. An appropriate expression of gratitude, IMO.

Gravatar AOW: I've never had Lafayette cake.
Let me know if your chef friend emails you back. I'd be interested to know what it is.

Gravatar Not only is this refreshing but it is about time that France recognized that the US is the best friend they have ever had. They may have helped us in the eighteeth century in acquiring our independance, but we have helped them in every century since them and twice restored their country.

Good to have them back where they belong as a friend. I guess we can eat french fries again. LOL

Gravatar Side note: Mike sorry for Sam and Trippers abuse once I get home tonight if I can remmember how to get into my haloscan Sam is gone....
DateRaper will back down if not he's next...

AS for the FRench It's nice to see but they are still the French and thats I check I wouldn't depend on to hold its value

Gravatar Troll: Don't worry about those two pipsqueaks. I give better than I get.

Gravatar Sarkozy's part Jewish heritage and affinity for Israel will create no end of problems for the French if he does not check his inclinations or is not kept in check. The man stole an honest French patriot's votes, those of Jean Marie Le Pen.

Gravatar awwwwwwwww shucks!!! and here i thought the lack of respect was all Bush's fault. Wonder if the Libs will find a way to blame Bush for France's new found respect now?

Gravatar The Speaker and KKK Byrd did not seem all that excited to have to listen to a pro-America, pro-Bush leader speak.

Gravatar MD: You know they would have been on their feet cheering if Venezuela's Hugo Chavez showed up.

Gravatar AJ Strata (www.strata-sphere.com)lies further today:

"While al-Qaeda has killed roughly 6500 Americans between 9-11 and the fighting in Iraq, they have also slaughtered 10 to 20 times this number of Iraqi Muslims."

This is very revelatory, as it exposes the tactics of hawks like Mike Miller, although Miller has never dipped this low. Strata conflates the Iraqi resistance, only 10% or so composed of "Al Qaeda,"
and keeps scaring as many American sheeple as he can into wishing to stay. Most US troops killed in Iraq
have been killed by native Sunnis
who have never liked alQaeda. The next highest percentage by small
Shia groups opposed to the Shia-dominated government. But Strata has to lie to convince the war is succeeding and was necessary to keep
these same people from coming to America to attack us here. Shame on liars like Strata who make even Mike Miller appear honest by comparison.

Gravatar Thus spaketh Ken Hoop, cheerleader, spokesman, and #1 mouthpiece for al-Qaeda.

Gravatar Laura's dress is gorgeous.

I just love it that Sarkozy is so pro-American. So much for all the whining that Bush has trashed our image around the world.

Gravatar Dee: I don't know how the left can claim Bush has tarnished the image of the U.S. around the world when nearly every single one of our top Western allies keeps electing and re-electing government leaders who are pro-Bush and pro-American.

France was about the last holdout on the hate America train and it did a complete turnaround with this trip.

It must drive the lefties more bonkers than usual.

in other words you too are guilty of the Strata deception on your blog and sundry other postings.

You haven't heard Britain is moving methodically toward Iraq exit?
Maybe--maybe against Brown's will but his military is pushing him, realizing the hopelessness of it all.

Gravatar I agree with AJ Strata 100%.

I only wish I got half the readers he does.

Gravatar Does this mean 'freedom fries' are off menus?

Gravatar Yes.

It must really burn you up that the nation which led the world in expressing disdain for U.S. leadership has done a 180.

Poor Arthur... You and Hoopie are the last holdouts on the hate America bandwagon.

Gravatar in other words you too are guilty of the Strata deception on your blog and sundry other postings.

Your mental acumen is a sight to behold, Ken. Quite frightening.

You have more vorpal wit in your whole body than I have in my middle finger.

There's certainly no pulling one over on you.

too late,Miller-unless you can point to any troops France is sending to bail the US out of the Iraq quicksand.

Gravatar Wordy

Do you have archives which can be
scrutinized to pinpoint the first
"turning point" you declared in the failed war? Was it 2003 or 4?

Gravatar Silly Hoop!

Didn't you read on these pages about the French Foreign Ministers trip to Iraq?

This is the new Foreign Minister who supported U.S. action to get rid of your buddy Saddam.

And France has 1100 troops in Afghanistan and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

There have been suggestions that France is ready to support a larger UN role in Iraq now that the violence has subsided.

Do I need to repeat that part about the violence subsiding? I doubt they report that on the defeatist hate America web pages you link to so often in your comments here.

Hardly Mike.

I can think of lots of 'countries' which have expressed an awful more 'disdain' for U.S. leadership than France. As it turns out the United States is one of them. A 30% approval rating for the Draft Dodger in Chief is sort of telling.

In fact your perpetuating that myth about the French is what is so amusing.

Like the 'hate America' myth. A label you try and hang on people who disagree with your politics.

Yawn.

Feeble Mike.

Some things never change and Mike's America is one.

Gravatar Draft Dodger in Chief ???

Stop talking about Bill Clinton!

You're so deluded Artie it would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

Oh well, at least Venezuela still hates George Bush as much as you do. Maybe you could MOVE THERE.

Gravatar Ken,

You're a hopeless defeatist. The nature of warfare and conflict often involves a rollercoaster ride of "turning points". There are ups and there are downs. There are good days, and there are setbacks. The point is, you persevere. Iraq has been a mixed bag.

You refuse to acknowledge the reality that things are going well, right now. I, however, can acknowledge that there may still be future setbacks, and things can turn around again, for the worse. So which of us is the more dishonest partisan?

You, Ken, are the paper tiger that Osama referred to when he slandered the U.S. with that label.

If you are not going to be on the side of victory, then just get out of the way and quit acting as a propagandist for al-Qaeda.

Gravatar "The point is, you persevere. Iraq has been a mixed bag."

Brilliant wordsmith would have America still bogged down in Vietnam with 300,000 killed.
