Sounds like good patriotic Americans exercising their 1st amendment rights.
Why are you so anti-American?
Why do you hate freedom so much?
You should really think of moving to Saudi Arabia or something.
I would like to point out that San Francisco has a higher GDP than the entire state of South Carolina. So, who's the fool?
“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then.” - Thomas Jefferson

And I'm not surprised someone as full of "it" as you do doens't object.

This is one reason I can't stand California and have no desire to live, or even visit the nutland. I once had a fellow pastor tell me that he would never want to try and minister in California because everyone there thinks they are already in heaven. Sad reality, for most of them, it's as close as they will ever get to heaven.

Spoken like someone who hasn't a clue. California is as large as the east coast of the US and as diverse. Ever hear of Orange County? The people there are the proverbial "a little to the right of Attila the Hun."
And this Timothy, who blesses, trashes an entire state with 30 million people in it--a place he knows nothing about, has never visited.
Typical of his ilk.
And if some city had proposed the same thing for Bill Clinton, you guys would be peeing your pants laughing over it.
It is very, very funny.

Shaw: I have been to California and I totally endorse Timothy's remarks.
And I'm not surprised you think the Bush sewage plant is funny. But you won't find anyone on the right doing something equally as stupid. Even if it would memorialize that nutball Bill Clinton.
I've been to Little Rock. There's no better memorial to slick Willy than that trailer park.

I'm going to have to disagree, Mike, but not for the reasons the dolts have already given.
I think Bush should actually attend the dedication ceremony after the election or at least sent a thank you message. You see, Mike, San Francisco is offering the President the opportunity to make something useful of their Liberal crap.
They've been pissing on him for years and now's his chance to turn a golden shower to life enhancing pure water. I should think that in this day and age of recycling waste, that having such a facility named for an politician would be quite the honor.
After a few years of cleaning and recycling, Bush would truly have the last laugh and the joke would be on the people of SF who would by then depend upon the George Bush Waste Reclamation Facility for clean water and fertilizer for the organic garden plots they will hoe to grow the corn-on-the-cob that will no longer be available because commercial corn will all go for ethanol.
This is really quite an honor.

Having "been to California" is not the same as having lived there. I have. And my daughter lives there.
You and Timothy are wrong. California is a diverse state. It's governor is one of yours, BTW. Ahhhhhnold.
And a sewrage plant named for George W. Bush is quite apt.

Shaw: Considering how full of "it" you usually are I am surprised you left the Golden State.
But I will agree that the entire state isn't bananas. Just the Bay Area and L.A.

Pure brilliance, Indigo! You should send the President an email with the suggestion.

Mike, think of it as similar in spirit to blacks trying to deflate the power of the N-word by taking ownership of it.

Shaw, I've lived out here for over 20 years, and although there are pockets of conservatives here and there, as a whole, it's a sea of blue. Nothing but Obama, kerry/edwards, and hillary bumperstickers. I've only seen one for mccain. I rarely meet anything other than Democrats. You actually have to go to "support the troops" type rallies and "welcome homes" to find many of the conservatives.
And I wouldn't exactly be waving the Gubernator in our faces as proof-positive that California doesn't mostly bleed blue.

I've just taken this comment and pasted it in a liberal blog comment section to show them the extent of conservative racism.
Their reaction? So what else is new?
Next, I'm going to send it over to Obama's website. Also, I've written a letter to the editor of a local southern paper (my sister-in-law lives in Birmingham, AL) and cited it as an example of race relations in America.
This comment will be very useful when the conservatives squawk that Obama uses the race card.
Thank you very much.

F-ck Obama, and F-ck you we're sick of your stupid political correctness. It's OK to to make jokes about whites and Christians and a President that actually has done the work neccessary to keep this nation free and safe from the Obamas or Osamas of the world. Print that quote anywhere you you want make sure you spell my name right. Obama looks so riduculous meeting with troops. How riduculous indeed.

Shaw: All that energy towards what purpose? Simply to justify Obama's use of the race card and Democrat willingness to engage in racial politics?
Seems to me your time would be better spent trying to engage the people whose ONLY stock in trade is to push hate towards Bush and Republicans and convince them that life would be better without it.
After all, that's what Jennifer is reacting to and as usual, you just use her heartfelt reaction to INCREASE, not decrease hate.
And isn't that the point of this post? You folks wallow in crap and hate and then scream at the rest of us when we dare to object.
I don't know what the word is in YOUR dictionary, but I call that HYPOCRISY!

Perhaps you should try Orange County. The San Joaquin valley is mainly red. You would have someone to talk to in San Diego as well.

Shaw,
I stand by my remarks. I have been there. I know people who live there and yes, my brother even lives in Atila the Hun county! Still wouldn't want to live there. Yes, I know there a lot of great people there. But alas... the leftist loonies far out number them. You can keep the state, and I don't care how big it is. Being from Texas, that remark falls on deaf ears.
Their politics is full of muck. They use the courts to attack and deconstruct this country and its values. The last decent thing to come out of California was Ronald Reagan.

There's a reason the phrase "San Francisco values" came into being. It generally doesn't describe the majority of America. It probably even doesn't apply to the majority of liberals.
I take it in the spirit they give it: Trying to use government to make political points, no matter how stupid. Then I just laugh and think about all the other places in America I'd rather live.

Sadly for them, years from now people will wonder why they named that plant after that man, whom I believe history will vindicate in the end. But you will walk by all their magnificent memorials to great liberals and wonder "who the heck was that?"

If it weren't for California, most of this country's food supply, tax base, GDP, Technology/Computers, Music, wine, Art, Culture, fashion, wouldn't exist.
California agriculture industry is more than twice the size of any other state in the nation.
California accounts for 13% of the US GDP.
California, on its own, is the 10th largest economy in the world.
Especially you red staters, you wouldn't like life in America without California. It's places like that which allow you to keep your taxes low and let the welfare states suck the government dry.
You certainly wouldn't be able to afford this war without California.
What does South Carolina contribute? Tobacco related cancer deaths?
They must be doing something right.
If they want to have a parade in their underwear, name a sewage plant after Bush, or burn a flag, I suggest you go back to your bible class, marry your sister and let them be.

Jennifer:
Bush kept us safe from Osama? So then who was that who attacked us on 9/11? Who is killing all our soldiers in Afghanistan? That isn't Osama?
How ridiculous did Bush look in his flight suit and Mission Accomplished sign? Now that was ridiculous.
