-15, Lows Keep Getting LOWER!

Gravatar The Clinton machine should be done, but I know it isn't - I do not trust these people....

Gravatar I heard a brief news bit on radio indicating the "The Reverend" (Jackson) and Big Al (Sharpton) were at odds over seating the FL and MI delegates. One sites "party unity" as paramount (Jackson) and the other sites "rules" as being more important (Sharpton). From their comments or positions, we can garner who they support; and I find that rather intersting...

Mike, I'm working as hard and fast as I can, but I am only one deep.

Gravatar If it were anyone but the Clintons, I'd say that it's over and Obama will be the nominee. But the best we can hope for is that the Clintons will try to win with superdelegates, get Florida and Michigan some delegates and then snatch it away in the convention, thus disenfranchising the hell out of their party base.

If that happens, then McCain will have months to convince us to vote for him, and he can ride the Straight to the Left Express into the White House.

Gravatar Good post. It will be interesting to watch. Part of me hopes she does get the nomination and then still gets beat like a drum. Then they will have to go away. But I that probably won't happen. We will be stuck with the Clintons for a long time.

But maybe we can convince them to move to Cuba and run for Fidel's open seat.

Gravatar "maybe we can convince them to move to Cuba and run for Fidel's open seat."

Good one Timothy! Both Obama and Hillary would feel right at home in that communist "paradise."

Even though Hillary would be easier to beat than Obama, I'd like to see the Clintons repudiated by their own party. History would show that to be the ultimate judgement on their time in the White House.

Gravatar Mike, I have thought for a long time that Hillary would be easier to beat than Obama but I'm beginning to wonder if that's true. He doesn't really say anything, he just says nothing very well! Regardless what happens, it's going to be a very interesting year.

I didn't even know last night's results till I came here. I didn't watch last night. I'm feeling a political overload, so I went to bed and read my book on WWII instead.

Gravatar Gayle: What book are you reading?

Gravatar I believe that the Clintons know no bounds. They will do everything and anything to get this. They will break all rules - written and unwritten. I'm enjoying watching her lose right now, though. lol.

Gravatar They won't be counted out until the final ballot at the Convention and then only if they fail to strong arm Superdelegates during the Convention.

Their machine always has some type of dirty trick up its sleeve and this year is no exception.

Gravatar Patrick M is right. Best scenario for you all is Hillary fights her way to the nomination pulling out all the stops with MI and FL delegations, superdelegate pressure, etc. Obama legions then are disillusioned beyond even what conservatives have felt in this year's GOP field, and it's the Obama voters that, in the end, stay home in November or in many cases vote for McCain. But she needs to win 2 of the 3 big states remaining to fight on in this way.

Gravatar I don't think that Obama is unbeatable. Last night he spoke for 45 minutes in Houston and rattled off every tired socialist/liberal/Democrat program and talking point from the last 50 years.

Is that change? Is that something new? Is that a sign of hope?

I agree though that it would be much easier for us if Hillary plays this thing out.

But I would like to see her defeated by her own party, and dismissed thusly by history. If she were beat by McCain she would probably claim we had stolen the election.

Gravatar Mike, the name of the book is "The Rising Sun" and is subtitled "The Decline and Fall of the Japanese Empire." Author is John Toland. It's 1,150 pages long, so it's two volumes. It's absolutely awesome. Anything you want to know about the war on the Pacific front is covered from both sides of the conflict. It's the best book on WWII that I've ever read. I got it from a Church garage sale, but Amazon has it:
http://www.amazon.com/Rising-Sun...5/dp/ 0812968581

Gravatar Regardless of what the Clintons do, racial/ethnic dynamism in the form of hinted blackmail will give Obama the win. He couldn't be of worse character than Hillary and there is a chance, only a modest one, he will force Israel to settle fairly with the Palestinians, curtail sucidical
Mideast intervenetion and abandon working middle class-destroying free-trade in favor of protecting our workers.

Of course his stances on affimrative action, quotas and immigration will
help continue America's decay, but that is what the phony pro-war conservatives deserve a bit more of, seeing as how they prioritized Israel's border protection over our own.

Enjoy!

Gravatar Gayle: Reading about all those steaming jungles and the bugs reminds me too much of SC and the swamps. I prefered to read about the war in Europe and North Africa. Sounds like an interesting book though.

And I see that Hoop, our resident Jew hater, is an Obama supporter! Will wonders never cease! But wait til Obama declares he's going to clean out those white power enclaves in Idaho and Hoop will be back to supporting David Duke.

Gravatar I don't know Mike, the unions in PA are pushing hard to get people out to vote for the Clintons. In my shop they are making it quite clear to union people that the democrats need them to turn out to vote for the Clintons and many racial overtones are seeping into their rhetoric.

I laugh at them and tell them it won't do any good anyway because we have a moderate running so maybe you should go vote for him instead.

Gravatar if everything here comes true, that may help McCain get the minority vote if they feel Hillary cheated them

Gravatar If Hildabeast succeeds by using dirty tricks, the minority backlash will be horrific. The socialists will be destroyed from within. I'm lovin'it.

Gravatar Socialists will come down in flames and anything the others try as to allowing shira to creep in will also go down in flames!

What a mess!

Gravatar Hillary is finished, but she will not recognize the fact for quite awile yet. The Ex-pat vote is in from 30 countries and the vast majority went for Obama.

Clinton will take the nullified votes of Michigan and Florida through the courts if she must. The whole situation makes her appear as desperate as she really is. Even hardcore Clintonistas are starting to see that the Clintons will cheat and lie to get what they want.

Hillary even inlted her own daughter to get votes. Some Mom.

Gravatar I just don't think the Democrat Party is that stupid to stand by and watch the Clintons destroy it. They didn't have a choice in 1998 when Bill refused to resign. They do have a choice now and the superdelegates can give the nomination to Obama.

Many of these delegates are elected officials who owe a lot to Bill Clinton. But more than a few are also disgusted at being used by Bill Clinton and told to go out and lie to protect him.

My worry is that there will be a "fix" here. I don't know if that means Hillary will take the V.P. spot (that would be BAD for our side).

Gravatar Mike,
Great post! Hillary isn't finished yet. I think she will use this "name one accomplishment" thing to it's fullest first, and will try to capitalize on it tonight during the debate.

In the meantime she has been working on stealing delegates since she broke the rule and put her name on the ballots in Texas and Florida. So, she has all her bases covered and if this accomplishment thing doesn't work and she loses Texas and or Ohio and the rest, she will continue to press to steal delegates, change rules etc.

Hillary won't back down. NOW, I don't know if that means she will prevail if she totally turns off the voters and they get wind of this and there is a huge outrage and an obama surges to win on March 4th. If she loses totally on March 4th, I don't think she can steal her way to a victory. So, really it is up to the people to stop her.

Gravatar Honestly, I also think that Hillary won't be the V.P. because I couldn't imagine Bill and Obama dealing with each other very well in the White House. I mean it would be 2 against one and I don't think Obama would bode well with that.

( I am on my laptop and that is why my pic isn't showing in case you were wondering)..

Gravatar Remember though that if Obama is President, and Hillary is Vice President, Bill won't be hanging around the store. If it's the other way around, Bill will be upstairs, downstairs and everywhere there's an intern.

Gravatar "The fact is: no automatic delegate is required to cast a vote on the basis of anything other than his or her best judgment about who is the most qualified to be president."

i like this remark from a party that says that representatives should vote in accordance to the "will" of the people rather than by conscious.

Gravatar No, Mike, you are the Obama supporter, whose position he gained
almost solely because of your intransigent support of Israel's wars. I will vote third party, whether Constitution, Nader, Green, etc.and enjoy you and yours reaping what you sew, because "the center cannot hold" for much longer.

Gravatar Hoop: You're the best advertisement Obama has going. Your KKK brothers must be real proud of you.

Griper: You found that interesting as I did? It's supposed to be the Republicans that are always trying to thwart the will of the people.

Guess like most of the Dem lies, it is only true about THEM.

Gravatar mike,

the will of the people determine policy except in two cases for hillary and company.

personal interests or socialistic ideology always trump the will of the people in their case. and with hillary both of these cases are in play. they get to determine the choice then.

as for the lies, you need to remember that any lie they tell is instantly the truth because they say so.

sorta affirms my post on my blog entitled "freedom of choice" also.

Gravatar "as for the lies, you need to remember that any lie they tell is instantly the truth because they say so."

That's exactly the problem. Both Clintons refuse to see that fellow Dems are repudiating them and will fight no matter what.

Really enjoyed your article:

Freedom of Choice

...Though it seemed as if he was talking mainly to himself I listened attentively as he spoke.

"Freedom can be seen from two different perspectives. One person will seek the freedom to something while another person will seek the freedom from something. And each of us falls into one of those two categories.

Decisions can be said as the most inner motivator of our actions and behaviors. And it is in the making of decisions that is the determinant of which freedom we seek. Those who seek the freedom to make their own decisions are the ones who also accept full responsibility of those decisions. They recognize that the power and authority to make those decisions come from within themselves.

Those who seek the freedom from their decisions will be those who allow another to make their decisions for them. They also find a way to blame others or something other than themselves for the decisions made. They view power and authority as being the possession of others and view themselves as powerless.

A decision be one of many possibilities of choices of decisions that is available to act on. In the seeking of advice one person hopes to be given a greater number of choices than he already has to choose from. The other person seeks advice for the purpose of hearing the other person’s decision. Seeking answers to a problem is a good illustration of this.

The big problem with all of this is the fact that there are those who think they have the right to make decisions for others. They feel that they have this right because they see the perceived consequences that some suffer as a result of their own choices. And as a result of what they see they think that some people are incapable of making good choices thus need someone to make their decisions for them. The poor are a good example of those perceived as being incapable of making good decisions.

Go and read the rest folks.

Gravatar Maybe it's too easy to say that the Clinton machine is finished, but it sure looks that way.

If Obama wins Texas, I think she's done. And the word in Texas is that Obama is gaining.

Gravatar The great pro-Palestinian, Arab American progressive Ralph Nader on Meet the Press tomorrow will doubtlessly give the decisive verdict on Obama.
