The way Obama sees it; his c/s support base will come out to vote for his leftist idealism. The mopes will only hear what the liberal press feeds them. Obama has no intention of letting the masses know what his leftist/communist/socialist ideals are that were taught to him by his Mother.

David Broder, as ever confused, wondered:
By refusing to join McCain in these initiatives in order to protect his own interests, Obama raises an important question: Has he built sufficient trust so that his motives will be accepted by the voters who are only now starting to figure out what makes him tick?
Yes. Next question.

Apparently in Obamics, 'anywhere anytime' means 'no way,no how'.

Obama also criticizes the democratic elections in the Pali territories that legitamately elected Hamas. Neither the President nor Sen. McCain liked the result, but they liked the fact that the election occurred with far less screwing around than ever before.
Obama is saying the free and fair democratic elections should not have taken place because the outcome is objectionable. HAMAS won. (BTW, Hamas supports Obama.)
Isn't that what happens in elections, somes we get what we don't like, but live with it anyway til the next election? If Obama becomes POTUS, will he advocate blocking elections, foreign or domestic, in which his position may not win?

You may be right Indigo... after all, his "anywhere, anytime" promise to invite McCain soon became anything that it takes to win.

Lies, lies, lies!
Yes, Toad. You are full of lies, distortions, and willful ignorance.
I cannot believe you are pasting that list all over the place, as if you had some smoking gun card in your deck.
Newsflash: It's a joker, Toad. Now go fish for something more substantive.

Apparently Toad doesn't read the LA Times, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.
All of those actually printed the results of the congressional hearings that found the "Bush Lied, people died" mantra of the BDS afflicted left to be a lie.
To quote the NYTimes, which is no fan of President Bush: "The report on the prewar statements about Iraq found that on some key issues — most notably Iraq’s purported nuclear, biological and chemical weapons programs — the public statements from Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney and other senior officials were generally “substantiated” by the best estimates at the time from American intelligence agencies."

"...substantiated” by the best estimates at the time from American intelligence agencies."
That where the lying comes in. Research it.

This was well researched in the Congressional report. The intelligence reports go back farther than the Bush 43 administration.
Sandy Berger - February 18, 1998
"He'll use those weapons of mass destruction again as he has 10 times since 1983."
Madeleine Albright - November 10, 1999
"Hussein has chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Al Gore - December 16, 1998
"[I]f you allow someone like Saddam Hussein to get nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, chemical weapons, biological weapons, how many people is he going to kill with such weapons? He has already demonstrated a willingness to use such weapons..."
Madeleine Albright - February 1, 1998
We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and the security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction."
Nancy Pelosi - December 16, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology, which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
John Kerry - February 23, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. That is a threat to the stability of the Middle East. It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis. It is a threat even to regions near but not exactly in the Middle East.

Getting back to the subject of the post. Barak Obama stated that he would debate McCain "anytime, anyplace."
Now he backing off from that. Do Obama's handlers fear what he might say without a teleprompter?

Mark: You may have noticed that whatever misdeed Obama is accused of, his trained Obamatons come back with some variation of "oh yeah? Well, Bush/McCain/Cheney/The Republicans do it too."
You would think that after complaining about these supposed gaps in veracity on the part of the above that Obamatons would be ever more sensitive to the issue of truth telling.
But then, YOU would think. That's asking too much from our trained left wing parrots.

I'll give Mccain credit for one episode of apparent truth-telling. In 2003 he defended Ahmed Chalabi, saying his critics were wrong, many with bad intentions.
Today Juan Cole reports from wires.
Chalabi is in Iran warning against Iraq signing any status of forces agreement with the evil American occupiers. Right on, John!
