If they keep this squabbling going until November, it wont matter who runs as Republican because the Dems will have sunk so many knives in each other they will never solidify behind their candidate. So there might be alot of sullen non-voters or if Ron Paul or Ralph Nader runs as indies, votes going to them.
Unfortunately I am hearing the same thing from Republicans.. if McCain wins the nomination I am not voting. Wake up! To not vote at all means the chances of the worse candidate winning increases! And with two Supreme Court justices looking to fall off the bench during the next President's term, the risk from terrorism and judicial activism could heighten.
And if McCain does get the nomination and is elected, then we better elect a lot of Republicans to the House and Senate to keep McCain's wilder impulses in check when he is in the White House.

The thought crossed my mind for a milisecond before it was repulsed by reason and common sense.
As much as I disagree with the maverick prima dona, John McCain and his go along to get along approach to Democrats I would hold my nose and vote for him.
I wouldn't exactly do cartwheels if Romney were the nominee, but I would certainly not have to hold my nose as long to vote for him.
As for our Democrat friends, they show a remarkable ability to excuse the most blatant racist, sexist, even criminal behavior when it is one of their own and rally around.
To them it has always been about power. To conservatives it has always been about ideas and correct policy.
For us, power is the means to achieve conservative goals. For Dems, power is the only end.
P.S. Yes, a Nader run would certainly make our job easier!

Bill Clinton campaigning all week in the state while his wife was elsewhere and the way that Hillary acted during her last debate with Obama have soured a lot of people on her--not to mention Oprah's endorsement of Obama.
