-15, Lows Keep Getting LOWER!

Gravatar Mike,
When dealing with two idiots like Pelosi and Olmert, it's hard to know for sure what really was said between them. That being said, Olmert does not need Pelosi's help screwing things up. He's doing a fine job by himself.

Gravatar Her arroganec is almost laughable were it not for the seriousness of her attempts to usurp the Executive Branch by creating her own foreign policy.

I was glad to hear the slap she recieved when Olmert denied her contention that Israel was ready to talk with Syria! She has no clue except her lust for power

Gravatar This sounds just like when Kerry blabbed on about how he talked with foreign leaders, and they would be more willing to work with him than Bush.

Except people started asking who these people are, he insisted he couldn't tell because he didn't want to drag them in to the campaign. But in the end we found out he had no such relations with leaders and it was all a big BS story on his part to try and win the election.

Gravatar We're reminded again of the words of President Carter at the 2004 Dem Convention:

"The United States has alienated its allies, dismayed its friends and inadvertently gratified its enemies by proclaiming a confused and disturbing strategy."

And now, of course, Carter sees fit to occupy the spotlight at Miss Syriana's side.

Gravatar MD: I think we do have some idea of who Kerry was talking about.

It's a more recent example, but here he is sitting next to the former Iranian President calling the U.S. a "Pariah."

http://mikesamerica.blogspot.com...int-not- us.html

What do you bet he's jealous of the coverage Neville Nancy is getting?

Gravatar Pelosi is making an ass of herself. Now, will that be enough to outrage any Dems?

Gravatar Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has injected herself and her views into an arena she has now shown she lacks one clue.

If Olmert wanted a back door conduit to Bashir, Pelosi would not be it. Too high a profile. Hussein of Jordan or anyone in the fractured Lebanese Parliament would be better. Assuming Olmert would really want to talk to Bashir about anything except a couple Israeli soldiers still assumed to be alive and hostages of Syria. In 1973 the Israeli Army was half way to Damascus, too bad they stopped.

This has been Nancy Pelosi's world Ego Tour. Underwritten by US taxpayer money. I want a refund since the tour has been panned in all reviews save the Al-Jazeera entertainment section. This tour has been a bomb.

Gravatar Pelosi is a menace. I think she should be impeached but I'm not holding my breath. She acts as though she believes that she is the President of the US! Dang, this woman disgusts me.

I remember a long time ago I thought it would be wonderful if women could get higher up in politics. With the horrendous examples of Pelosi, Clinton and Boxer, I am no longer of that mindset. I remember Ann Coulter saying that it's a shame women got the vote. I wouldn't go quite that far (I think she was half-way joking anyway) but perhaps there should be physical examinations of women running for public office to discern whether or not the candidate is going through the change. Who knows what a woman might do while experiencing annoying hot-flashes?

Have a wonderful Easter Weekend!

Gravatar Ah yes. The Washington Post editorial board.

Wrong yet again.

http:// newsblogs.chicagotribune....elosi_unfa.html

This will be painful for you folks but read the piece.

You're welcome!

Gravatar Sorry Artie, but some blog entry is hardly on the same level as the WAPO editorial board.

That's about as lame a comparison as saying some nobody Republican Congressman visiting Syria is just as bad as Nancy Pelosi's world heralded tour.

And in case you were keeping count, the number of newspapers condemning Pelosi keeps rising.

I wasn't going to post anymore on that score just yet. But since you're so keen on the topic perhaps I might.

Gravatar Mike pooh poohed:

Sorry Artie, but some blog entry is hardly on the same level as the WAPO editorial board.

Actually our discussion is 'some blog entry'.

The link I provided was to a piece written by Frank James, national correspondent for the Chicago Tribune.

Different kettle of fish Mike.

But you get an 'E' for effort.

Gravatar Speaking of grades:

I'm still waiting for YOUR transcript to arrive from an IVY LEAGUE school with courses in National Security and foreign affairs.

Clearly you're grasping at straws.

Not for the first time.

I would think you would know better by now. But I see delusion bites deep into the psyche of our lefty pals.

P.S. Of course I know who Frank James is... Let me know when he convinces the Trib Editorial Board to join him in the orgasmic defeatist delusions that you, he and others so willfully embrace. And we'll stack it up against all the others.

Gravatar Nancy Pelosi should be tried under the Logan Act - I am so angry about this I could scream.

I hope everyone writes their Congressmen and Senators and demands an investigation and prosecution under the Logan Act:

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

Well I guess I've been told.

In addition to your coursework in 'National Security' and 'foreign affairs' do you have a degree in psychology?

Flag Gazer seethed:

Nancy Pelosi should be tried under the Logan Act - I am so angry about this I could scream.

I understand Speaker Pelosi, Reps. Frank Wolf, Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt all will be indicted next week. Hanging's too good for them.

April Fool!

Gravatar Nancy Pelosi has made a total fool of herself on her terror appeasement tour.

Making new foreign policy, giving wrong messages from Israel to Syria, etc..

She can take off on a whirlwind tour to terrorist haven, but she cant fund the Troops before she leaves and goes to play footsie with the very terrorist leader that is responsible for alot of the death and destruction of our Troops.

Nancy Pelosi is Pathetic, and should be tried for Treason.

Gravatar Mariestwocents typed:

Presumably the Republicans making the trip to Syria gave the right message.

Right?

Gravatar Arthur,

You need just a little help here. The Republicans that went to Syria were asked not to go by the Bush Administration and were chided as well.

Please get your facts straight...

Gravatar If the Republic Party members were asked not to go, why do you suppose they went anyway?

Gravatar Please let me know if you uncover any evidence of them engaging in diplomacy Funikon.

We can charge them with a violation of the Logan Act right after Pelousy is convicted.

Gravatar The went to criticize Bush just like Pelosi.

I tell you what, we can get rid of the whole bunch and cite the Logan Act, but I think they should all just voluntarily step down instead.

Gravatar ahhh... Mike snuck in ahead of me and wrote almost the same thing.

Ha!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar And I don't recall any of these GOP idiots getting front page coverage on Al Jazeera, nor making statements claiming to be starting some new peace process.

This is always the leftie defense. No matter how weak the comparison, "well, you guys do it too."

Aside from how ridiculous those comparisons are, members of the two parties are also treated differently in the legal system.

Someone should ask Scooter Libby if he wouldn't have preferred the plea deal that Sandy Berger got.

Gravatar how far back in your archives would i have to go to find an article which claims critising the government is treasonous and unpatriotic?

Gravatar Look all you want Dateraper.

Sometimes it is treasonous.

Though I'm not one to fling around that "unpatriotic" label.

I've noticed that Democrats seem to have nearly exclusive use of that term with which to attack Republicans.

Gravatar Nancy Pelosi is incompetent. She screwed up a message from Israel even after being told not to do it by the U.S. administration.

Hey Arthur, read this below. This will explain why Pelosi's trip was incompetent, wrong, and just plain stupid.

http://www.ynetnews.com/ articles...3385140,00.html

Gravatar Mike cracked wise:

Look all you want Dateraper. (Mike- Is this meant to be funny? And you claim to have done postgraduate work. Fascinating)

He added:

Sometimes it is treasonous.

Though I'm not one to fling around that "unpatriotic" label.

Oh yes you are. In fact, this blog consists of little else.

From Merriam-Websters Online Dictionary

Main Entry: pa·tri·ot·ism
Pronunciation: 'pA-trE-&-"ti-z&m, chiefly British 'pa-
Function: noun
: love for or devotion to one's country

Main Entry: trea·son
Pronunciation: 'trE-z&n
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English tresoun, from Anglo-French traisun, from Latin tradition-, traditio act of handing over, from tradere to hand over, betray -- more at TRAITOR
1 : the betrayal of a trust : TREACHERY
2 : the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family

Yet again a distinction without a difference.

That's how things work in Mike's America folks!

Gravatar Thanks for the link WF.

From Ynet:

At a press conference after the meeting, Pelosi said that during her talks with Assad she "determined that the road to Damascus is the road to peace."

"We came in friendship, hope," she said.

Of course that sends the wrong message. The administration has other things in mind. The Iraq Study Group has recommended and an overwhelming majority of Americans polled prefer engagement with Iran and Syria.

Cheers.

Gravatar "Artie" would you call yourself "patriotic?"

Gravatar "Artie" would you call yourself "patriotic?"

Of course.

Gravatar And to YOU, that means what?

Gravatar Love of country Mike.

Support of the nations interests through the exercise of free speech and dissent. Pursuit of financial security. Freedom of movement. All those sorts of things.

Separates us from much of the rest of the world.

We're extremely lucky to have been born here.

Gravatar You know its bad when the Washington Post is willing to slam a Democrat.

Gravatar Arthur,

You picked the wrong part. Terrorists like what she is doing. Yes, that is wrong and is the wrong message. Terrorists want to kill you and me because we don't think like they do.

You can't be friends with terrorists unless you condone them committing terrorist acts. I notice you kinda overlook that.

And she screwed up the message from Israel. The Republicans didn't "bring" any message because they were told not to. they just met. Pelosi became the conduit between Israel and Syria and she screwed it up - even the Israelis say so.

She is incompetent. This is exactly what people were afraid of her doing. And then she claimed that she brought the same position that the administration wanted and that the trip was a success. What kind of fantasy world do you liberals live in? When terrorists agree with what you're saying, then something must be wrong.

Gravatar W.F. typed:

Arthur,

Sorry. Dick and George have been the key recruiting tools for Jihadists everywhere. And then some folks don't seem to think at all.

He added:

She is incompetent.

Actually the incompetence comes shining through when we consider the administrations' run up to the invasion and the subsequent bogging down of the 'coalition'.

But don't take my word for it.

Ask the Pope.

Gravatar Let's see:

Terrorists routinely issue angry screeds against President Bush.

And

Terrorists routinely praise Democrats.

Whose side do YOU want to be on?

Gravatar Mike wondered:

Only in Mikes America are things so simple.

But I appreciate the endless contortions you submit to in order to spin the administrations line.

You're either with us (the administration) or with THEM (the Jihadists).

Sorry Mike but it isn't all that difficult (and a vast majority of Americans have done) to come to the conclusion that the 'war on terror' has been derailed by the occupation of Iraq and by the unwillingness of the powers that be to engage Iran & Syria in efforts to stabilize the region.

Have some ham Mike.

Your spinning has to make you hungry.

Gravatar Yes, hey, I don't see the terrorists agreeing with what George and Dick are doing. They are trying to get them to stop what they are doing. They like what Pelosi is doing.

Seems pretty clear cut, if you are objective about it, but unfortunately you aren't.

Gravatar I think it is pretty obvious liberals like Arthur and others would not criticize a liberal politician no matter what they do. While Republicans criticize Bush constantly.

Pelosi could have promised 15 billion in aid to Syria, that Israel would give up all disputed territories, and that they would disband their army, and that the US would move their armies out of Iraq in 1 week, and the liberals, like Arthur, would say, "Nothing wrong with what she did.She did an excellent job!"

Probably would have said the same about Chamberlain caving in to German demands. "Nothing wrong with that! He did good!"

Gravatar Funny how our lefty friends don't seem to understand the problem of what happens when enemies sworn to kill each and every one of us who do not submit to THEIR will begin agreeing with them.

And citing their talking points to boot.

You'd think that would set off alarm bells in people who otherwise think of themselves as patriotic.

P.S. It's prime rib tonight.

Gravatar Sorry fellas.

And I'd be careful about showing so much knowledge about how the 'terrrorists' 'think'.

Someone may infiltrate your cell.

W.F.: Spare us the Neville Chamberlain nonsense. Wrong war. Wrong era.

Who will attend the surrender ceremony on behalf of the terrorists anyway once we are 'victorious'? Who has authority to sign?

You guys are funny.

Gravatar Sorry sheep eater, but we can only go on what terrorist tell us.

And after the videos of them sawing off American's heads with dull knives, only a fool would disbelieve what they say.

Gravatar Artie has a good point. We are not cooperating enough with Syria and Iran.

So lets give Lebanon and Israel to Syria. Then they will agree to stop the flow of money and jihadists into Iraq.

Then we can allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. Once that is out of the way we can help Iran's Shiite allies take over all of Iraq and set up a Shia theocracy.

Why didnt I think of that? The politics of appeasement is really easy, why insist on doing things the hard way?

Gravatar Freedom: If you're waiting for Negative Neville "Arthur" to come up with any real, practical, effective ideas to address these issues you're in for a disappointment.

Gravatar You see Mike thats where you dont understand. We can talk to our sworn enemies because they just want to be loved. They have no dishonest intentions like the U.S.

Gravatar I want to get this post up to 45 comments because it is a lot cooler number.

Maybe I will come back later to bump it up to 46.

Gravatar I think it's 46 now.

Funny how desperate and sputtering Negative Neville has been on these Pelosi threads.

Guess that Washington Post editorial really put the fear of Gaia into those appeasing defeatists.

Gravatar Its funny how desperate you are to run up the number of posts in your comments.

I suspect a false flag operation here.

Hoist our colors mates!!!!!!!

This is 47 Baby! Read it and weep.

Gravatar I cant resist... 48!!!!!!!!

Gravatar Well there is something to be said for quality vs. quantity, so I usually don't run up the numbers

-49-

speaking of the false flag, people have wondered whether I didn't just create "Arthur" in some evil scientists lab somewhere or make up his comments just to make liberals look even lamer than they do already.

But where would the challenge be in that? It would be just too easy. If I was going to create a lib, I'd want one that actually made a relevant point or two of substance and not simply the instant naysaying of whatever the topic is.

Gravatar You sneaky NeoCon warmonger!!!!!

I wanted 49!

Oh well, I will have to be satisfied with a nice round number like 50!!!!!!!!

Oh yeahhhh!!!!!!!
