"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds."
This hit home with me because I"m seeing how the illiterate, hand-out minority is growing and voting; the brush fires in people's minds is unrest and anger at those who work hard and do well; insistance that they SHOULD support the minority. scary stuff.

...The said constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.
I think someone needs to explain this simple principle to four out of touch Supreme Court Justices.

It is a very great mistake to imagine that the object of loyalty is the authority and interest of one individual man, however dignified by the applause or enriched by the success of popular actions.
This patricular quote just happens to remind me so much of the Obamamaniacs. Although in this century, we see many people who are zealous on both sides, the sheer blindness of the fully engaged Obamorgy is both humorous and scary.
However, if we're talking about unquestioning loyalty to me, then Sam Adams is wrong.

If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.
Isn't that where we are right now? So many of our so-called leaders are totally self-serving and promoting their own agenda. Case in point: Obama's "patriotism" tour.

"The right to freedom being the gift of Almighty God, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave."
SO many have become complacent to the whims of Washington that we in a sense have become slaves to an an powerful government that is nothing like that in which the Founders planned and forsaw for this Nation.
A free republic does not have a burdensome tax on income, social entitlements that create massive government programs that demand more money for services that should be taken care of by individuals and the private sector.
A free Rebublic is a nation of the people and by the people and not a country whose politicians have become an elite force that beleives tha they and they alone know what is best for all and have forgotten that they work for the people and as such their primary responsibility is to listen to and follow what the true owners of this nation want.
Thsi I beleive is the type of slavery that Adams was referring to and this is the form of slavery that we have given to in the complacency that has allowed out Nation to drift from a true free Republic to a country that is slowly sliding to Socialism with liberal leading the way!

How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!
We have seen this happen so many times, from tyrants and non-tyrants alike, it's hard to count the ways.
Bill Clinton pondered what the meaning of 'is' is, and he didn't have sex with that woman, because fellatio is not sex, he claimed straight faced.
Ronald Reagon insisted they were 'revenue enhancements' while we could plainly see they were taxes.
George Bush, the Elder, swore no new taxes, instead raised old ones, and called the new ones 'fees'.
Barack Obama brings us 'hope' and 'change', as empty a pair of words as the poke sack he carries them in. The cat is out of that bag, we know him to be vain and aspiring and [i]f ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.
That time has come. We had best know our words well and keep our dictionaries close, lest the time for the gun be not far.

Hard to believe that John-F-ing-Kerry and Ted-Chappiquiddick-Kennedy both hail from the state that gave us Samuel Adams! I cannot imagine what Samuel Adams would think of the likes of K & K!
"Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: first, a right to life; secondly, to liberty; thirdly to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can."
Life, liberty and the pursuit... and the right to defend them; with the arms that the congress cannot take away from us!

Too late, Mr. Adams, the Bushistas and Cheneyites have ruined it.

He would be F ing proud of them. As a majority of Americans are. You people here are in the minority, which you so richly deserve.

You keep telling yourself you are in a "majority" Shaw. It doesn't make it so.
Your delusion is not a pretty sight to behold.
If Kerry, or Kennedy, were held in such high esteem they would have been elected President.
Heck, not even Bill Clinton could get a majority.

Shaw Hussein: If those of us here are in the minority then......
"It does not require a majority to prvail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." S. Adams
And, our task is clear.

Patriot: There are some who say that the "irate, tireless minority" of squawking loudmouths is an exact description of Shaw and friends.
They can NEVER, EVER get a majority of the American people to endorse their neosocialist platform if it is honestly debated and voted on.
