“I did?” he asked, sounding surprised. “What exactly did I say? I said deadline? O.K., yes, then I meant what I said.” The reporters laughed.

It is true that the Geneva Convention tasks any occupying power with providing law and order immediately
upon occupation.
However, the Geneva Convention also forbids combatants not to identify themselves with uniforms or some other form of identification when engaging in combat.
They forbid intentional attacks on civilians like the kidnappings, assasinations and bombings of the insurgency.
Saddam Hussein violated almost every international law and was a war criminal. The succeeding insurgency is no different.
The insurgency is indeed succeeding which is the first truth you've told on this site in quite a while.
OK I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
I meant that the insurgency is the succession of Saddam's rule. It had nothing to do with success because all they have succeeded in doing is kill unarmed civilians. They have failed at everything else they have done.

Tom: The White House web site posts photos from each days events under links for news. Our tax dollars paid for those photos and it's a shame more people don't get to see them as you won't find them anywhere in the "news" media.
