The Canadians and the Dutch still have a special bond of friendship! This month in Ottawa they have the Tulip Festival to showcase all the beautiful tulips that the Canadian government have received from the Dutch. http://www.tulipfestival.ca/en/

Thank you for dedicating this tribute to my Dad, and to all the Canadian soldiers who fought for your liberation. I have all his military records and I will have to review them to see where he was on May 5th.
I hope you enjoy your day, Herman. Take care and hello to Beppie.

Although I had nothing to do with this event, it makes me proud to be a Canadian. I feel a special bond with the people of the Netherlands, to think of the love and appreciation they still give Canadians after all these years.

Ha ha! I just looked at Phylis' picture! That's so funny cuz I was saying to Kelly yesterday that I want to dig up my snout out of our Halloween stuff and take a picture with a thermometer sticking out of my mouth! She beet me to it! Too funny. I like her already.

Thank you for this Herman. My dad was also in the Canadian Army in Holland during the war. I'm proud that Canada can be part of your celebration today.
Have a great weekend Herman!
