Gravatar in NYC, where there aren't enough jobs to go around, illegal and even legal aliens take jobs at laundry houses, and work long hard hours for money that doesn't even permit them a basic life, forcing them to live several families to a flat.

Let 'em work, pay 'em minimum wage, and give legal citizens preference.

Gravatar I honestly don't know too many people who oppose immigration--it's illegal immigration that's opposed, for a whole host of reasons, including that illegal immigrants are subject to maltreatment.

My concern is always for the law-abiding person who is sitting on a waiting list somewhere, because our "legal" numbers are artificailly low because of the flood of illegal immigrants. If we got a handle on the illegal flow, we could increase the legal numbers. Immigration, on our terms, after background checks, and at our pace.

Gravatar They want to work. Great. Let them enter our country legally, the way immigrants from Europe and Asia and elsewhere. Let them be subject to our controls on immigration.

Why people think that having millions of illegal, undocumented peoples flooding our country every year is a good thing is way beyond my comprehension.

Would you think that millions of illegal, undocumented Muslims, however hardworking they were, flooding America each year was a good thing? In the light of 9/11? In the light of intelligence of terrorists' desire to bring nuclear explosive devices into America? Honestly now.

Gravatar Seems I see things a great deal more like the commentators on this post than the post itself! I can appreciate how greedy profit whores would want unchecked illegal immigration but for the rest of us average Josephines and Joes who have to deal with all the other things this "cheap" labor brings such as healthcare, education, prison costs, gang culture(s) it is anything but cheap...It shoudn't be about how hard they work or want to work..To begin with I think it should be about American sovereignty and respect for American laws...Off now to read the article written by someone who no doubt does not live in Mexifornia like myself
