It's all about the economics. A lot of people want their cake (namely domestic jobs) and want to eat it, too (namely less costly goods). They don't see the connection - perhaps that's something our government could do a better job with; making the connection between the two things.
My problem with Mexicans is their chicken fingers. They are, in short, DISGUSTING. Inedible chicken fingers plus half a pitcher of margaritas is bad news.
But otherwise, they do a marvelous job keeping the grounds of MUSC.
Plus, ladies, if you need a self-esteem boost, walk by a group of Mexican workers. I promise you they will leer at ANYTHING.
