First, I disagree with your initial assessment that no one would miss you if the obit had been real. You may believe that your readers wouldn't care, but they would.
Second, I agree with you about the father. Something doesn't tick right there, especially if he "thinks" she has had four husbands.
I would have been displeased had you died. You're cool.
