Why be gentle with her? The Israeli government should have said she is a liar. If more people would do that instead of weaselly words and apologies, we'd be a lot better off.

i can name a number of big wig Conservative Pundits as well, who often do more harm by being soft in the rebuke of misguided Democrats.
for myself, i can understand an elected President wishing to remain polite, professional, diplomatic.
but Conservative Elites in the bloggo, tv, the 'think tank' world, etc., often fail to be firm, clear, simple, strong.
