Crazy world Rick.
I'm sitting here in the uk talking to Joe Souths bass player in Georgia.
Anyone know where Joe is?
He's just given me a musical history lesson.
I'll have a listen to these tracks tommorow thanks.

If Sledgehammer is the 'Cat's idea of a good driving song I'm giving up my license! Another good driving song from a fave band of mine is the Avengers' "Car Crash". A cat who likes the Runaways has got to love Penelope Houston.

Homercat~
Your information on music is awesome. Sorry I didn't get in on the survey. I wouldn't have been one of the eighty-one percentile group. And I must add that homercat rocks!
I'll be back..

Closing time in Toronto ... I just know my wife is going to be playin' that Irish Rovers tune when I get up, if I get up, tomorrow, today, whatever ...
HomerCat, you don't need the results of a survey.
You speak out about what you like. That is what a Blog is about.
If you want a larger audience, connect to "larger" blogs like Attu Sees All. etc for world wide attention. The rest of the world seems to like Canadian viewpoints, as long as we aren't too American.

Ouch, retard here. Love the I Eat Cannibals song. I think I may even have the 12" somewhere if it wasn't one of the "roommate stole it" ones. I always wanted a trashbag dress.

ps Thanks for the Social D!

Sorry I didn't get to do the survey as I was in sunny Florida last week!
I would not change a thing! Your taste is right in step with mine, so it can't be that bad!

Total Coelo? Guilty pleasure all the way, baby.
Ever heard the Screaming Sirens? Another obscure guilty pleasure from the '80s. If memory serves, roots rocker Rosie Flores was in that girl band before going out on her own.
Oh, and thanks for BTO, too.

Heh -- I'm the one who said I like the 80s tunes. And yes, I do remember Total/Toto Coehlo. And the dresses. My, those must have been sweaty to wear

Damned if I wouldn't change my favourite post to that 'Let's Get Distorted' one a couple back. That Ring Of Fire cover has to be only the second cover I've ever heard that had more energy than the original. 'I Fought The Law' was the other. And yeah, I was the bigger cat picture guy.

Chris: The paws aew not conducive to typing but one tries
Mick: Joe as in Games people play Joe? Cool.
Mr Beer: the cat gets a little crazy on that one, but damn it rocks
Gummby:Sorry you missed the survey, but you help me rock!
Jeff: Thought about that but the cat isn't a blog whore, if someone wants to link, they will. I link the best blogs, not the most popular.
Ruins:If you have the 12 inch I would kill for it.
Jake:I'm here for all your Amgel needs
Slimjim:Sorry you didn't get a chance at the survey, but hoping you partied your ass off.
Jeff:Guilty pleasure indeed, a future post that you beat me to.
JenSince you're the only gal to reply, I have to say that you would have been hotter than any of those gals if you were wearing those trashbag dresses.
Not JeremyThat cover is awesome and the Law one kicked ass and a bigger cat picture forthcoming.
Thanks all for your input. It keeps the kitty purring.

Yup, that Joe, but my friend has not seen him for years, although he re-surfaced in 2003 for a very short while.
If anyone knows his, (Joe South) whereabouts I would be interested to know.

I *used* to have the 12". One of my jerkoff roommates stole all my records back in in '89 and it happened to be in that batch
Luckily I'm compulsive so I had a nearly comprehensive listing of everything so I've slowly replaced most of what was stolen over the years.
What REALLY kills me is losing the signed Oingo Boingo drumhead from a concert at UC Davis Freeborn Hall. Ugh. I still wanna kill that roommate. That was the best concert score ever.
I'll keep an eye out for it.
