Good Rockin

Good post once again Homer.

funny thing is about 2 weeks ago I started grabbing a lot of Buck. I'm a rocker at heart but always had a soft spot for twangy country.

good memories of being young and spending saturday night with my mom watching Hee Haw. Mom was a big Buck owens fan. Hopefully he is playing for her now!

Gravatar Does anybody but me remember the Buck Owens and the Buckaroos movie?

I have a funny feeling Homer C. is Geddy Lee.

Buck made authentic music. Have a look on the charts and see if you can find any today.

Gravatar Now I have to go find my old Roger Miller records...

Gravatar slimjim: I'm sure he is Slimjim. Back in the day of only 2 or three stations if you had your antenna adjusted right, it was either Hee Haw ofr Lawrence Welk on the other channel if I remember right.
Mr Beer n Hockey: you have revealed my secret. There was a movie are you serious and I may dedicate my next post to youMr Beer
Bobert: homercat has a few Roger Miller songs on his playlist. Do wacka do!

Gravatar 2 answer your question--i run a contest every week, give or take, and i haven't noticed that it drives traffic to my site. however, i'm not looking for that anymore--i don't want to be part of the RIAA's test cases when it launches a suit against bloggers.

which will happen any month now.

Gravatar Ekko: Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I know what you mean, I've been waiting for the hammer to fall on us bloggers for a while now. I've mentioned it in several posts. We'll see, I like to think that I've caused several readers to purchase music.

Gravatar Not been at this as long as many of the blog peeps, but found there seems to be 2 kinds of music bloggers: publicizers and pirates. I've noticed pirates have a problem with "limitations".

Back on topic...good post Homer; you know who else I liked that I really miss, even though he's been gone for years? Marty Robbins. Buck Owens' passing made me think of him this week.
