I sure wish Lou Reed would do a pile of covers. I would especially like to hear him do "Anarchy in the U.K." His old bandmate John Cale sure did some great ones.

SHEER BRILLIANCE...I'm always amazed that tunes like the Left Banke's "She May Call You Up Tonight" or the Zombies' "Care Of Cell #44" or even the Fabs' "And Your Bird Can Sing" weren't huge hit singles in the 60s...but the fact that Sweet/Hoffs chose such tunes for this awesome covers LP not only confirms the greatness of the songs themselves; it also shows that these two Power Pop icons still have great taste...
[Oh...and Nugent is STILL a slobbering right-wing putz. (...just sayin'....)]
