I have always liked BNL too. I agree with you about their matured sound. There were many mature songs in the early years, but they were more known for some of those goofy pop songs. My first encounter with the band was in the very early stages of their career when their version of Lover's of a Dangerous Time was just starting to get some airplay. I ended up sharing a pinball machine with Tyler Stewart on a campus bar and he asked me if I was cheking out their show. I did on a whim, not really knowing much about them, and they put off an amazing live performance.
