Good Rockin

Gravatar Amen! I have always felt that the Alice Cooper band is one of the most under- appreciated acts in the history of music.

I dig the Schools Out promo w/ the underpants (I'm envious). Luney Tune was always my favorite classic (i.e. Buxton era) tune.

Gravatar Just some informations...
There was no vinyl record between the year of the Edison invention and 1900. There was cylinders, mosty wax cylinders. First records, 78 RPM, appears in 1900. They were very thick and had only one side. From 1900 to 1910, songs were published on the two formats.

Gravatar I am all aboard with Alice Cooper. I like the idea that an artist can exist for literally years - and still sell! And - still grow.

Great article to wake up to this morning!

PS - I'll get back to you on the message you kindly sent me earlier.

Thank you!

Gravatar Oh man, I can't recall hearing the whole album(or even more than a track or two), but "Men Without Shame" is wicked. Thanks for reminding me.

Gravatar A great righteous rant, sir. (And I enjoyed your earlier one on the subject, although I didn't comment at the time.)

It's the selfishness of a six-year-old for record labels and artists to sit on worthwhile product while at the same time punishing people who want to disseminate it purely for the love of the stuff. Van Morrison's war on websites is an example of this: music bloggers and fan sites have done more to publicize him over the last several years than his record label has, yet he and his people insist on maintaining control of everything, from bootlegs they have no intention of releasing to simple photos of Van. He could benefit from this kind of promotion among his core fanbase, if he could bring himself to surrender some percentage of control of it.

Gravatar Thank You for the Phantom Rcker and Slick track. I was able to get a fairly decent quality live concert of theirs somewhere here on the 'net for free. I think the guy was a Cats freak (ugh), but if he had a free PRS concert offered, hey, he's OK w/ me.
