You know, I love Sparks. I have every album up to and including "Pulling Rabbits Out of a hat" (virtually unlistenable) on vinyl. Even the emponymous first album, which I have never listened to.
I "got it" for a long time and then I think THEY didn't get it.
While Lil Beethoven was *good* it got boring I thought. Do you have any tracks from the most recent you could share?

Allen: Believe it or not Beethoven and Terminal Jive are the only Sparks I do not have, so I can't judge that one. I will throw this link out there for those interested in a track off of the new album. Let me know what you think. It's called Let the Monkey Drive.

Oh yes. I'll never forget the first time I heard Sparks. "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us" on FM radio at 1 a.m. What he hell is that? I was hooked. The album fulfilled the promise. Why weren't these guys huge? Probably too kinky, those literate lyrics, their Cuisinart of musical styles, Russell's odd voice. I've loved them ever since. Thank God they're still here, brilliant as ever!!
