Great post re: Power Pop!
I love the Cowboy Mouth song, too, and that is also a decent Romantics song. The Romantics' talents, as I am sure you are aware, are more limited than the other bands, though- but they still had a few good songs.
Our musical tastes are closely aligned: Clash, Cheap Trick, Who, Badfinger.
I have one I think you will like:
Dwight Twilley's "I'm On Fire."
