No, but just let your doctors know you want them to take care of what's causing the pain, not just the pain itself. Sounds like you have a doctor who thinks that way already, though, and you're in good hands with that. Back pain is the mother of pains, especially if neither standing, sitting, nor laying help, as is usually the case - you did need pain relief, that's for sure.
Sorry for being Mother Hen, but I've just seen too many relatives who had pain killing docs who sent them on their merry ways, not solving what caused the pain in the first place, and had them worsen in the long run. Just do the bed rest, not like my mom who had to be hospitalized to get the bed rest she wouldn't do at home for a blood clot, and my aunt who was going to check herself out of the hospital and walk home when the doctor said she needed bed rest for heart problems ...
Well, here's to your full recovery!

Kinda thought after reading about the go-kart incident on Friday that things might get worse before they got better.
Nope - not allowed to rub your injection sites for ya, but I can definitely sympathize. Shots in the hiney are NO FUN.
Hope you feel better soon. And hog that remote all you want.

I can truly sympathize with you, but I won't rub your injection spots!
I had sciatica last year and like you waited many days before going to the doc, by the time I went I could barely walk. For some reason the doctor's office makes me ill.

Sciatica...the bane of my existence.
Three months of therapy once, and all I did to cause it was twist my ankle a tiny little bit. Then one day the pain magically went away. Thank God for the McKenzie method.

Been dealing with it eversince a car accident at 31.
Chiropractor helped immensely, but in your case, I'd recommend a massage therapist first, to see if that doesn't loosen up those strained ligaments.
Got plenty of it from today's groundswork, so I'm gonna break away here for Absorbine Jr. and 15-30 minutes on the lumbar stabilizer.
All the best.

Been there...out of work for five months. Back pain sucks.
I am known far and wide for my massages. In lieu of me doing that for you and getting my ass tromped by Mrs. HB...take two pills, close your eyes and use your imagination.
Seriously, I hope it gets better fast.
