Mostly the birds come around, snack a bit, brighten up the porch with their color and their song, and then go away. They don't build nests where you can snatch them down because they want to raise their young ones in peace and safety. They spread seeds and help cross-pollination. Some of them even eat bugs. In short, they are a pleasurable and vital part of the eco-system. This *real* behavior is of course a far better analogy for the way *real* immigrants function in our society.

I've seen numbers all over the map on the bill, but I'd like to read the specifics of the poll you're citing. If your poll is right, supporters of the bill are an even smaller minority than Bush supporters.
