200 years from now, historians will look back to 9-11 and state that its importance was that it caused the US to tighten its internal security with the result of delaying the 2nd American Revolution by about 50 years.

There are still way too many in the US working class who are fervent believers in a Reagan-like conservative government. Until they die, or change headspace, internal security should be able to keep the lid on, for the benefit of the oligarchy.

I think that the reason so many of the lower tax bracket people are opposed to a tax increase on the very rich is because "The American Dream" leads them to believe that if they're working hard, they'll be in that upper class bracket soon. It's utter folly, of course, but I seriously think that's what's going on.
