OMG - I wonder how many other facets of our established Canadian institutions have been canceled that I don't know about. I've never used CAIRS (and in fact I didn't even know it existed) but as an author maybe I would have used it in the past or in the future if I had known it existed. I would have preferred to have been advised of its existence before reading its obituary.
I used to like the Canada I have lived in for 74 years. How can so much of it have disappeared in only 2 1/2 years???
And now bill C-10 is a "confidence motion." I guess I will have to become an American film company to avoid random, biased censorship (and YES - it will become censorship - just look at the planned Immigration Act putting life-and-death power into the hands of ONE minister with regulations that can be changed arbitrarily with out notice.
I used to like living in a democracy - not so happy in a dictatorship calling itself a democracy.
