The Galloping Beaver

Gravatar Bhutto herself named her own successor in her Will. A 19-year old, not yet old enough to hold office, whose only qualification is that he is of her bloodline. The appointment of her widower and two others to govern in her name would be nothing short of scandalous anywhere else.

Actually, Bhutto (apparently, since no one has--nor likely ever will--see a copy of the will) named Zardari as her successor, who in turn nominated their son to the symbolic leadership position.

At least Zardari and the PPP feudal potentates (as Ali so aptly refers to them) had enough sense to realize that Mr Ten Percent wouldn't be a popular choice, even (especially?) among die hard PPP partisans.
