my biggest question is where are the opposition? Where is the "Harper is single handedly f*cking up any chance of this country having a future in anything but churches and enough is enough?"
I live in Blue Saskatchewan so my MP is thoroughly useless. I've written him respectful but serious letters and have received the expected non-answer "thank you for your comments, and we're getting results" on a number of topics.
Enough is enough.
This crises is a straight-forward problem (ie limited in scope. We have a dying reactor, how do we replace it?)
If they can't manage this, where's the credibility to handle the complex issues like poverty, crime, the economy and the environment?
(and yes, that's a shot at previous Liberal governments too).
Harper's vision, if you can call it that, is to make Canada the "North American energy superpower".
And by Canada, he means Alberta and by energy, he means the tar sands.
Yup. Because to Harper, if you can't dig it up, rip it out, or cut it down it's not a Canadian industry.
I'd trade my soul, did I believe I had one, for a PM with some actual goddam vision.
