The Galloping Beaver

Gravatar We are. And we are angry, too. I can cope with agitated people -- if the police can't, they should bring in trained professionals (or Alzheimer wives) who have serious experience.

I was glad that Webster was able to get the corporate conniving between Taser and the so-called Institute for the Prevention of In-Custody Deaths (run by a business associate, who provides defence testimony for Taser) into his testimony. Time to expose this little game.

Gravatar Given the letiginous habits of the Tazer Corp. - I wonder if he will be slapped with some kind of court order.

There seems to be some kind of movement in the wind to (I say) point out the misused of the weapon. (They would called it uninformed comment.)

Whatever, I must paraphrase my friends in the gun loby - "Tazers don't zap people, (apparently) Police forces zap people."

The machination of the Tazer corporation are just side show. The tendency of these forces of law and order, to torture members of the public is the big show.

Gravatar It's too easy to lose respect for an entire police force, when they allow torture in any instance, or don't train officers to use better discretion (if their intentions really aren't malicious).

Gravatar great work covering these Taser stories!

I love the quote: "When you think the only tool you have is a hammer, then the whole world begins looking like a nail," Dr. Mike Webster

Do you know which politicians/ministries etc we should be writing to to put pressure on the gov't to change it's Taser policies?

Gravatar And what's this about police ordering someone to stop photographing their activities? that's a power they should never have, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER. there could not possibly be a lawful, legitimate need for police to stop citizens from taking pictures of their activities in public. EVER.
