Christy Clark had the infamous rev. on her Canwest CKNW radio show this pm, also. Once again, not a whisper of his past indiscretions pointed out so well by The Lady Alison.
I tried to call in to "queerie" about this, but, alas, the line was tied up with right-wing zealots calling in to complain about Morgentaler getting his award . . . .
sorry, but how the hell is it that his OC wasn't taken away from him in 1992 in the first place? And why hasn't Conrad Black been stripped of his OC given that he renounced his citizenship, talked smack about the country and is now a convicted felon? These people are a disgrace and their awards should be taken from them.

CBC's local BC television news led with the Larre/Morgentaler story on the 6:00 pm newscast. Their focus, however, was the dubious past of the good rev. rather than Morgentaler's history.
Needless to say, we have found our local newscast, and the Aspers can find somewhere else to peddle their crap . . . .
And I can tell you that there is a very good possibility that they got their lead from Alison. We had CBC hits all day going to that post.
WEB, I was going to suggest CBC but it seems you've found it on your own. I'd also recommend Newsworld (Channel 26 if you have Shaw cable), and of course CBC Radio 1, 690 on the AM dial.
I've been a steady CBC listener/viewer for exactly 30 years now, and even though the greats like Barbara Frum are no longer with us, they still practice Journalism, where the other offerings on the dial only (very occasionally), dabble in it.
The Ceeb doesn't always cover things the way I wish it would, and it has at times seemed to either buy into, or just not trouble to dig deep enough to refute, right-wing memes, but most of the time it is honest, balanced, and above all useful.
They're the best we've got, anyway, and they stack up well against the Beeb. (Channel 36, if you've got Shaw.)

My congratulations to Dr Morgentaler. A member of the Order can be removed if they have been subjected to an official sanction by an adjudicating body, professional association, or other organization. Official sanctions can include fines, reprimands, or disbarment.

Dr. Larre’s clients are children. He has returned his order of Canada before it is taken from him. The Governor General of Canada should not accept it, take it from him.
My concern is for the children of Coquitlam BC and that the Archdiocese of Vancouver will move this disgraced priest to another unsuspecting community in Canada, or back to Saskatchewan.

He has made some mistakes, people have lied about him, he has been acquitted and pardoned. How can you trash a man that has tried to do nothing but good for this country and praise a man who may be responsible for killing 110,000 babies a year
man alot of u are sick like really frick the doctor is great and deserves this award for helping women kill their own unborn unwanted baby because it isnt convient for the unborns mommy or daddy at the time or even want a baby wow he should so get it like wow he is my hero and a priest slaps a girl and i guess the whole pill thing wow frick thrown him away and take the award that he deserves u dumb A$$es really just because the baby isnt born doesnt mean its not a living person and doesnt deserve to live the life it was ment to because 2 ppl screwed up and made a baby how is a unborn baby any different than a person with a disabilities there isnt any expect on is giving the right to experince life which they both should not only the living have the right to freedom and to be safe but the unborn and with the help of this doctor that right was taken away from the unborn and no i dont think anything should be used to terminate the unborn is right so ppl that dont wanna have a baby think about what ur doing really there are lots of different ways to prevent from becoming knocked up females and prevent males getting the female knocked up so frick dummy up.
