Well, it clearly shows that the Western world is different from the Asian world. I agree wit many of your statements. And, come to think of it - how many couples divorce in the West? The emotional trauma? Any relation to early death here? 
Andreas: This research is done in the UK, so probably it applies to the Western country.
The mechanics of Western and Asian countries are totally different.
Of coz, I do not represent the majority of the Asians, it is just a food for thought.
