The Supremes, in their infinite wisdom, have ruled that executing those who rape children is cruel and unusual punishment. Also, they have, apparently drastically, reduced the punitive damages in the Exxon Valdese oil spill. Sorry, no clickies. I'm lucky to be h ere myself as it is. But, no doubt folks saw these pearls of justice on the evening news.
Ah, nobody else is here. So that's why my voice was echoing. 
Well, it probably wouldn't be a bad idear for me to go to bed anyway.

Ally successfully made it through her first night of TPN at home. She seems to have tolerated it well. She did run a 99.9 temp last night, but it never got higher than that!
She seems to be in a super good mood this morning, and has already had a few bites to eat!

What a lovely day!
We had some visitors (two Aunties plus Grammy and Grampa). We went for a nice long walk where Ally got to see LOTS of kids out for the summer (bummer...too many on the playground for us to visit it) and lots of dogs.
Ally was in a FANTASTIC mood today, and it was so nice to not have to constantly be trying to get her to eat something. She did manage to eat about 250 calories, 10 grams of fat and 9 grams of protein of yummy chocolate drink, plus she had some yogurt mixed with whipped cream.....if she does not gain weight before we go to Boston something is wrong!
I expect to have a few more good days. I'll be sure to update at least one more time before we go to Boston, but I am expecting her next few days to be like this.
I hope you all enjoy the new welcome picture...it is just Ally's way of saying "Hello!"

I am sooo tired!
But I don't have to set the alarm for tomorrow.
At last! At last!!
IMNSHO there should be no death penalty at all.
I strongly believe that people who are a danger to society should be imprisoned,
for their entire lives if necessary,
and given lots of time to mull what they have done.
It just may be that some of them will come to comprehend the gravity of what they have done.
And that would be the perfect punishment.
As for the Exxon-Valdez spill...

I actually thought enough of Barack Obama up to this point that I would have welcomed Howard Dean as his running mate. This is no longer the case.
Obama's capitulation on FISA just reminded me that he is just another political hack who doesn't deserve a Vice President with Dean's integrity and backbone.
I'll vote for him in November but he no longer has my support on any level other than that. He took the nomination with Dean's playbook and sold out just like any other political waste of time.
I spit on his shoes. Phuqn sell out.
Well, Subway, I remember when Obama was first in the Senate. He seemed to go along to get along. I'm waiting to see whom he chooses for his running mate, because that person will have a good shot at the presidency. I don't think it is even money that his selection will be sufficiently appealing that I will definitely decide to vote for Obama. I find myself contemplating the distinct possibility that once again there will be no one running for President for whom I truly want to vote. Bummer. But I need to find a good bumper sticker for my car--makes it easy to find in a parking lot...
