Our National Planetarium is afflicted with the same sort of malaise as our National Museum. Same ol' same ol' - you visit them 2 years apart & won't notice any difference at all, esp. for some broken & loose parts.

Our politicians feel proud over small things ... and forgot that it's the other things that matter ....

But these taikonauts are not sons of the soil, there lies the problem.
The achievements will only be acknowledged if it's by a Malay.

Ah, that planetarium! The place looked like it had such promise back then, too bad it has become such a predictably massive failure.

Actually, space should be the last place our politicians would wanna consider... in space, no one can hear you talk crap.
p.s. saya tak lupa kamu kawan.... jangan bimbang... btw you'd have to change "Sens" to Deri (get it?) to fully avoid the Language Police... heh-heh

Prince Sultan went to consult the Grand Imam of Mecca Mosque on how to fulfill his religious obligations. The Grand Imam told him that there is no need for an answer because no spacecraft can leave earth. Problem solved. Next please.

Walski: Deri? Tak paham lar?
kowtim: Is that joke or any truth in that? I don't want people burning down flags and embassies for your comment. Or in this case, my blog.

M'sia's space-program must be one of the most baffling showpieces that this govt has created. How can M'sia sustain a space-prog if none of her universities even teach astronomy or related subjects? All this money just so that M'sia can say 'We have sent a Malay into space'? For goodness' sake, there are people in M'sia living without electricity, piped-water, education etc, and they are spending precious money for space? Take care of those on earth first lah....

"The RM100mil space centre is located on a 161.8ha plot of land in Kampung Sungai Lalang..." Don't you see why it is built in that particular place? So that it can get plenty of lalang to do research on! Our Bolehn(a)ut is going to plant lalang in the International Space Station to see how it grows in zero gravity! As for the Malaysians living without electricity, running water, education ect, umno doesn't give a damn because they are mostly non-muslim estate Hindoos,
jungle Sakai or Christian ibans.
