You're kidding. This one of the best Bond movies to date. Daniel Craig was exactly how Sean Connery (still the best Bond of all time) was when he started the Bond franchise. This is raw and what Bond is without all the fancy gadgets. You can't get any more in depth to a "00" agent than that

And no, Casino Royale isn't a remake of the older Casino Royale, the older 1967 Casino Royale was a spoof that had Peter Sellers and Woody Allen (and even Orson Welles) in it. There was, however, an incomplete TV movie based on that with an American spy called Jimmy Bond (it came out before Dr No.)
